Cara Doering

NURSE | EDUCATOR | SPEAKER | COACH

Cara Doering is a grief and wellness coach, nurse, and educator dedicated to transforming the way individuals, families, and healthcare professionals navigate grief, resilience, and well-being. She empowers caregivers to care for themselves first, so they can care for their loved ones without suffering from burnout. With years of experience as an ICU nurse, Cara faced life-and-death moments daily, guiding families through their hardest hours and supporting them when the unimaginable became reality. She has personally endured profound grief, bringing both professional expertise and lived experience to her work.

Cara holds a BSN and an MSN in Nursing Education, and has guided and mentored thousands of individuals on their most difficult days. She has also taught nursing students in critical-care settings, preparing the next generation of nurses to provide skillful and compassionate care.

Currently serving as a transplant coordinator, Cara educates patients awaiting life-saving transplants and trains nursing staff on best practices in transplant care. Her passion lies in empowering others—whether patients, clinicians, or communities—to navigate challenge with clarity, confidence, and compassion.

Motivated by her years in the ICU, Cara became a speaker to continue caring for grieving families long after they leave the bedside. She brings a grounded, heart-centered approach to her keynotes, blending clinical knowledge, personal insight, and a deeply human perspective. Driven, goal-oriented, and fiercely committed to growth, Cara inspires audiences to cultivate resilience, pursue well-being with intention, and lead with empathy in every space they enter.
